How do I set up my e-mail profile?

I have started up outlook express and can not get e-mail to work.

I am looking for the "My Profile" to set up my e-mail account but can noit
find it. I have followed the help screen to

(a) add a new profile - but after gving my name and e-mail address it asks
me for a POP3 or IMAP server - I have no idea what that is or

(b) import form outlook express - I have tried to import account inormation
and it says it can not find any internet details.

This seems very basic and I have searched through mountains of help screens
but the basic problem is I can sem to register my name & hotmail account just
to get the e-mails working in outlook.

any help greatly appreciated

a) contact the ISP that hosts your mailbox. They are the only ones who can
provide you that info.

b) if nothing is configured it cannot import anything either ;-)

Note that this is an Microsoft Office Outlook forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
