How do I set up a digital ID?

We have purchased two digital IDs through the Verisign website, and installed
them on both computers with similiar configurations. One of the PCs works
fine, the other gives us this error:

Encryption Problems
Microsoft Office Outlook had problems encrypting this message because the
following recipients had missing or invalid certificates, or conflicting or
unsupported encryption capabilites:

<Recipients Name>

Continue will encrypt and send the message but the listed recipients may not
be able to read it.

<Send Unencrypted> <Continue><-"Unclickable" <Cancel>

We are Using Windows XP Service Pack 2, and Microsoft Office 2003 Service
Pack 2. Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem, or let me know where I
can get detailed instructions on how to install and successfully use digital
IDs?

When you buy a certificate, it does NOT give you the ability to send
encrypted mail. It give other people the ability to send YOU encrypted
mail. First, you must send your recipient a digitally-signed message. They
can then install the public key that is part of the digital signature and
use that to encrypt messages to you. The private key that is also part of
your certificate will be used to decrypt the message.

In order to send someone else an encrypted message, you must have received
from them a digitally-signed message and have installed their public key on
your PC.

Thank you for your help. Both computers (2 different e-mail addresses)
purchased Digital IDs. We installed them on their respective PCs in Outlook
and sent each other a digital 'signed' message. After we added each others
pulic key into our CS, one PC can send encrypted messages to the other PC,
but vice versa does not work for the prior error. I think that there may be
a setting in Outlook that is corrupt or needs to be changed??? Please advise.

Click Tools>Options>Security>Settings to set up the encryption settings
properly.
