How do I set up a database that my family can add to online?

I'd like to know how to set up a database, using Access preferably, that
others in other states can add to. I would like the changes to be seen
immediately, updating the database for everyone to see.
 
This doesn't sound like a job for Access alone.
The data store may be in Access, but you'll need a web-based front end...
