I would like to set-up 5 accounts on our families
computer. Two adult accounts and 3 children. I do not
want anyone other than myself installing programs onto
the computer. How do I go about setting security measures
so that no one installs anything?

Thanks

Abe

Remove the administrator rights of all accounts (users)
other than yourself. This is done through the computer
management tool. To do this follow these steps:

1. Right Click My Computer.
2. Open Manage.
3. Expand "Local Users and Groups."
4. Open "Groups."
5. In the left window open "Administrators."
6. Ensure that the only account (username) that appears
here is yours. If there is other accounts (usernames)
remove (delete) them.
7. Add the deleted accounts (usernames) to the "Power
User" group, as they will already have an account in
the "Users" group.

This should solve the problem of users installing
programs without your approval.
