I have two accounts set up in Outlook 2003 on the office server (the default
is the administrator Exchange account and the secondary is a POP3 tied to our
phone system). Our phone server sends an email to the POP3 account whenever a
voice mail is left on the extension tied to the POP3.
What I want to have happen is this: Outlook receives the message from the
POP3 and then forwards the message to both of the owners of the company's
Exchange email accounts.
My problem is that the rule I created to forward the messages received from
the POP3 to the Owner's Exchange email is not working. The messages are being
forwarded via the POP3 account (which does not have sending capabilities) and
are therefore generating Undeliverable errors. If I manually go in and
forward the message the sending account defaults to the account the message
was originally received on (the POP3). I can then change the account it is
being sent through to the Exchange acocunt and it works, but I cannot seem to
find a way to automate this.
Can anyone tell me how to specify that all emails be sent through the
Exchange server and never through the POP3?
