How do I set my new AMD Athlon XP 2000 MHz to 333FBS on my Asus A7N8X Deluxe mobo? TIA!

I did a little beefing up on my machine. The dealer said this CPU is
333FBS compatible but how does one set the FBS to 333 in the A7N8X
Deluxe and how can I check to make sure its @333FBS?
I also beefed up my memory to 1GB DDR PC-2100 [Dual Channel]
TIA!!

(seller said its backwards compatible for my other 512MB DDR RAM
PC-2100 ) so I cam maintain my dual channel thus giving me a total of
1GB DDR

An XP2000?
No way is that 333.
An XP2000 is around 1.67GHz and runs on a 266 bus.
An XP2400 is 2Ghz on a 266 bus.
Regarding ram, you need two sticks of PC2100 or of PC2700.
PC2100 is 133(DDR266)
PC2700 is 166(DDR333)

You need both sticks running at the same speed so if you put a stick of
PC2700 with one of PC2100 you would need both to run at 266.
Figure it out, how can they both run at 133(DDR266) ?

the place where I purchased them from swears the 512MB DDR RAM PC-2700
memory chip is backwards compatible to the other 512 MBytes DDR RAM
PC-2100. So, to my understanding that means 512MB DDR RAM PC-2700 will
orientate itself to the 512 MBytes DDR RAM PC-2100 speed. The only
thing I can't do and set the frequency to 166 until I have an equal
2700 memory stick. As far as the CPU I am beginning to be suspicious
of its credibility. In going to call the dealer today to make sure he
clearly understood what I requested. I might have to cough up another
$30.

I forgot to mention this CPU is a OEM
Still I hope its 333 FBS though because it would be a long wait till I
could afford a REAL 333 FBS AMD CPU

Palominos have a prob doing 333 but nearly all the Tbreds do 333.
-ddr fsb that is.

If you just want to check if your cpu does 333 fsb, take out the slower
dimm and run it in snyc with memory at 166 MHz - boot to a dos diagnostic
proggy and see if you get errors.
With both Dimms running together at 266 ddr, AFAIR youll be making trouble
for yourself trying to run FSB faster than memory.

....Ive wondered, if the chipset WILL run at a higher FSB than memory speed,
it might be intresting to see if dual channel is particulary effective in
this situation, since fsb throughput is sometimes mentioned as a major cut
off for dual channels theoretical max performance.

I dont know if that can done though, if you just get to know your bios
(there arent *that many options) - try it yourself :)

I took it back and got a AMD ATHLON XP-2600+ - 333FSB.
Although it doesnt say 333FSB on the box they assured me it is so.

I had my xp2100 going at 213fsb(426ddr). Maybe the dealer was assuming
you'd want to overclock like this rather than just trying to con you? To
use the setup as mine you'd need good PC3200, never mind PC2700!

To do what you want to do, you need to get shut of that PC2100 stuff and
just try it with the pc2700. 512mb is already more than most people have,
and even if your board does work with the pc2100, it will be be running
asynchronously (ie slower) if you clock the RAM to PC2100 speeds, or will
probably be unstable if you are able to run the pc2100 at pc2700 speeds.
