A8v 4 sticks 512

Alright Finally got this sys stable, so I decided to give it a Ram boost of
another gig. My question is are these stats fine or do I have to manually
raise the Cpu Clock speed to achieve a Dram freq of 200mhz rather than 157.3
mhz? System is fine now but I wish not to short change myself.
Is this normal or is it possible I have a faulty batch of 1 gig dual channel
.. Attempts of settings in bios 400:2 ddr + 2t enable came into a rather
flashy reboot as well
as other possible settings.
Any feedback on this issue will be appreciated .Thankyou in advance.

Are you saying that you have an A8V system with 2 GB memory in the form of
four 512 MB modules running at 200 MHz frequency, or that the OP should be
able to adjust the FSB for DRAM to the setting you mention?

No don't have one, but aren't the new chips and boards able to do 4
sticks at DDR 400 @ 1T setting?

My bios settings does not have a limit ddr 400 at t1.setting. I tried
setting the clock to 215 which brought up the fsb to something like 161.mhz
but was scared to increase the clock any more to try to acheive 200mhz.
The 4 sticks according to cpu-z says the memory is in Dual channel. This all
confusing to me , I am amazed I can even turn the machine let alone build
it.

Thanks for the quick replies, answers and links. I am now certain I will not
weld my cpu onto the motherboard by bad timings...

says .....
When four DDR400/PC3200 memory modules are installed on the system, they
are accessed at 333 MHz and not at 400 MHz. This was corrected on Venice
and San Diego cores: on CPUs based on these cores the processor accesses
the four memory modules at 400 MHz.
