How do I set my Calendar appt default to Free instead of Busy?

I use my calendar as a scheduled reminder for myself and want to set my
appointment default to Free instead of Busy. Where is the default setting for
the Free/Busy option?

Sorry, but those settings are hard-coded and can't be changed by the user.
