How do I send emails to a specific category from my contacts?

In my office, we have been organizing our Outlook contacts by category. Now
we would like to send an email to a specific category. Do i have to go back
to step one and organize all those email addresses into distribution lists?
Or is there a way to directly link my categories with distribution
capabilities?

In the "By Category" view of your Contacts, Select the Category > Actions >
New Message to Contact
