How do I send a graphic in an email mail merge in Outlook 2000

I have been trying to send to a list of my contacts in Outlook an e-mail with
a graphic and a message. I can send the mail merge alright but it strips out
the graphic. I have tried both inserting the graphic in the main document and
put the graphic in my auto signature in Outlook but either way the graphic
gets stripped. How can I do this?
 
You'd need to upgrade to a later version of Outlook or use a third-party tool; see http://www.slipstick.com/addins/mail.htm#massmail
