How do I select text in frame using an "expiration date"

I am trying to create a frame on a home page that displays upcoming events.
I'd like to create the text in a table with two columns -- the date of the
event and the description. I'd like the frame to show all upcoming events
within a date range (to be selected by the webpage designer) from today's
date.

I'm using FrontPage 2003.

solution in ASP(.NET) or PHP with a database.
