how do i select random dates for appointments

how do i select random dates for appointments.
I don't always have an appt every 1,2 or 3 days...
I want to have a calendar view and be able to click random dates as a
recurrence.
 
If you're not inviting people, you can do it this way -

In Calendar, use the Date Navigator and CTRL click the dates you want the
meetings on (eg dentist appointment). Make the appointment on one of the
days and then right mouse drag it to each of the others. When you release
it, select Copy.
