How do I search subfolders of personal folders (.pst) in Outlook 2

Unlike when I search my Inbox, the "Search In" drop-down is dithered out when
I do a search on my personal folder (.pst). My personal folder has multiple
subfolders. If I didn't' have subfolders, there is no way I could manage my
emails. (I can't keep them in my exchange server Inbox, because I'm allowed
limited space there - not nearly enough.)

Highlight any mail folder, click Find and in the Search In dropdown select
"All Mail Folders". That will search the entire message store's mail folder
list
