Hi Dan,
You're very welcome. If you have any immediate problems with converting to
or from the Access 97 format, then post back to this thread.
Thank You for marking my response as an answer.
Good Luck!

Tools > Database Utilities > Convert Database > To Access 97 File Format.
Note: If you use the Switchboard Manager in JET 4 databases (ie. Access
2000/2002/2003), you will likely find that these don't convert properly. In
that case, delete the Switchboard form from the 97 database that you just
created. Rename the "Switchboard Items" table to some other name, such as
"OrigSwitchboard Items". Then start the Switchboard wizard in Access 97. You
don't need to actually re-create the switchboard, just start the wizard and
then exit it. You should notice a new Switchboard form, and an new
Switchboard Items table. With the Switchboard form closed, delete the new
Switchboard Items table. Then rename your original table back to "Switchboard
Items". That should fix any wizard generated switchboard woes.
Finally, if you have both Access 97 and a later version of Access installed
on the same machine, I have found it necessary to remove a reference in the
newly created Access 97 database for the "Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library".
This reference is valid for JET 4 databases. For JET 3.51 (ie. Access 97)
databases, you should use the "Microsoft DAO 3.5 Object Library" instead.
These two documents will provide you with the information required to check
and change references:
