How do I save powerpoint slides as individual files?

I am using PowerPoint 2007 and wanted to save each slide as an individual
file but i forget how! (However, i know i've done it before..) Please Help!

Hi Rick

I don't think that can be done automatically. However you can save as a
picture format and it will save each slide individually (but not as a ppt) -
is that what you meant? Or you can drag a slide onto the desktop and it
creates a scrap file which can then be opened in powerpoint. Oh wait a
minute, that doesn't seem to work in 2007. The only other way I know is to
delete all the slides but one -> save as -> undo -> repeat....

Someone cleverer than me may come along later and tell you a better way :)

You know... I searched for that for about 20 minutes last night before I
gave up. So glad you found it. Would love to know what search terms actually
brought it up!

how do i save each slide as a picture file\?? can this bee done if it can i

Hi Joey

Pre-2007 it's File -> Save as -> click on the 'Save as type' drop down &
scroll down to the image format of your choice.
2007 it's Office button -> save as -> other formats -> click on the 'Save as
type' drop down & scroll down to the image format of your choice.

It will ask if youo want to save current slides or all slides - if you
select all slides it will create a folder & put them all in there.
