How do I save an Outlook item in MS Word format?

How do I save an Outlook item in MS Word format? I vividly remenber being
able to do this in prior versions of Office/Outlook, but this option is no
longer there among the "Save As" file type options.
 
use Rich Text, *.rtf, it is pretty close and will open directly in word
