How do I save a word document on to a cd-r in the D Drive? When I attempt it
two boxes pop up. The first saying "Incorrect function" and the second saying
"You do not have access to this folder. See your administrator for access to
this folder."

Save it to your hard drive, then copy it to the CD, using Windows Explorer
if your computer has built-in burning software, or using a separate burner
application like Roxio or Nero. (Assuming your D drive is a burner, not just
an ordinary CD drive.)

I don't care if Microsoft implies or says outright that you can save to a
recordable CD. Don't do it from within Word if you want to use your files.
At a minimum, you'll eat up space on your CD, but loss of files is a regular
occurance.
