How do I return a file to open with 'Unknown Application'

I was browsing the files that make up a program, and accidently changed a
file type to open with a particular program. I know how to change the
program that the file type opens with. The problem is the file type is
supposed to open with "unknown program." Since the file type has an
associated program to it the overall program that it's a part of no longer
works. How do I undo my mistake, and set this particular file type back to
opening with 'unknown application?' Thank you in advance for the help.

i've tried installing other files that have that same file within them, and
it applies the 'open with' program to those files as well (the ones with the
same extension). i was thinking about uninstalling/reinstalling the program
that i accidently set it to open with, but i dont know if it would go right
back once i installed the open with program. any ideas?

THat worked great. Thank you so much. Actually I wasn't able to delete it,
but I was able to resotre it back to its default setting which then worked
perfectly. Thank you so much.
