How do I retrieving a document ?

I am using word XP. I was working on a document and saving it to my C drive.
Then I decided to put it onto my E drive. Unfortunately, an old version of
the document came up and I inadvertently saved this old copy to both my C and
E drives. How do I get the new version I was working on?
