how do I retrieve user account/settings in xp pro

No idea how I did it but seem to have lost my user account on windows xp pro.
I accidently clicked for some kind of system refresh and has come back with
new admin identity and seem to have lost old account name and all settings.
Please tell me they are in the system somewhere as I desperately need
access to the outlook express account that was there as well as files and
folders. Not showing in user accounts or shared documents.Either help me find
old user account , or old settings and I can reassign to new account

Hello.

Try using System Restore; that usually fixes alot of problems. Good luck
fixing it.
