I accidently deleted a folder with my kids birthday photos? I tried letting
the computer search for it by name, but no luck. Now what? I heard that even
if you delete something from a computer, it's still there. How do I get these
back?

You're asking in the wrong place: the "Access" in this group's name
refers to the database software Microsoft Access. There are Windows
newsgroups for the various versions of Windows.

That said... there should be an icon on your desktop named "Trash" or
"Recycle Bin". Doubleclick on it and see if the deleted folder is
there. If, however, you used shift-delete and responded Yes to the
prompt "Do you want to permanently delete...", your only option is a
disk-recovery service. These tend to charge upwards of $300 to look at
your disk, and don't guarantee results. :-{(

Hi, Ray.

If it's not in your Recycle Bin, you'll need to use a file recovery utility or a
file recovery service. The service is going to be expensive, but some of the
utilities available are inexpensive. Results aren't guaranteed either way.
However, this is a newsgroup dedicated to Microsoft Access databases, so your
best bet is to post your question in a newsgroup dedicated to your version of
Windows to find out what you need to do next.
