How do I retain copies of "sent mail" mains in my Outlook SENT box

Used to retain copies and now I've done something and Outlook no longer keeps
them - HELP, please :)
 
One possible place to check
Tools -> Options
Under the Preference tab (first one), select the E-mail Options... button
The top section (Message handling) has a check box (2nd one down in Outlook
2003) labeled Save copies of messages in Sent Items folder, make sure this
is checked. If this does not fix it, post back and we will keep looking
