How do I restrict access to a drive.

John P

I have windows xp, and I was wondering how I can restrict
access to a I drive from other user on my computer. I
drive is just a storage drive that I created. But I don't
want anybody else accessing it. Please help.

Thanks

Download and install TweakUI:

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (TweakUI)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

After installing, go to Start > Programs > PowerToys for Windows XP >
TweakUI. Expand 'My Computer', click on 'Drives', then uncheck the
drive letter you wish to hide.

By doing that, are you just hiding the drive. Could a
person go into that program, and unhide the drive and then
access. Is there a way to password protect the drive?
