I took some pictures with my digital camera and they are
FREAKING HUGE! I don't have Photoshop but I really want
to resize these images. Is there any programs that can
do this or do I need to go out and purchase one? The
Image Programs on my Computer that I know of are, Kodak
Imaging For Windows, Paint, and I guess, Internet
Explorer.

Any help is really appreciated!

IRFANVIEW is free and does much of what Photoshop does. You
can also get the Windows XP Power Toys Image Resizer, which
is handy for just resizing.

There is also a program called PIXIA

Google can find them for you.

ThumbsPlus is more than just an image management program, you can do simple
editing, create web pages, resize, crop, gamma correct and much more,
imports directly from cameras and scanners for immediate
resizing/cropping/converting formats, slide bar for compressing JPG files
(can make a 120k file 60k without perceivable sacrificed quality for fast
emailing, there's also a right click option for Send to, and it opens a
window from your email program with the image file already attached).
Everyone whom I've recommended ThumbPlus to tried the trial version, and has
then bought it. Nice functions like auto rename, select a bunch of files,
and then auto rename and number them. Batch Process, select a group of
files, and resize them all, change the contrast or gamma or hue or
lightness. ThumbsPlus is a user friendly joy to work with. You can
download the fully functional trial version at:

Irfan view - www.irfanview.com Free for personal use; excellent viewer
that will convert formats, resize, print and also has very good
'Enhancement' of color - its Gamma control is the best way I know to
make a picture lighter or darker
