I took some pictures with my digital camera and they are
FREAKING HUGE! I don't have Photoshop but I really want
to resize these images. Is there any programs that can
do this or do I need to go out and purchase one? The
Image Programs on my Computer that I know of are, Kodak
Imaging For Windows, Paint, and I guess, Internet
Explorer.

Any help is really appreciated!

I use IrfanView for this. Get it free from http://www.irfanview.com/

MSPaint can resize them if you have Microsoft Office installed.

Start | Run | mspaint | OK. Here you must first open a jpg or gif in mspaint and then close out. After that you should be able to Save as... a jpg or gif.

The Kodak Windows Imaging should be able to resize them also:

Start | Run | kodakimg | OK

Adam - If you have MS Office (any flavor) then the included Photo Editor
will also do what you want and lots of other image
manipulation/adjustment. It's not part of the default installation from
the Office CD, but you can add it quite easily.

You can also choose the actual display size of an image, however high or
low the stored image's resolution is. Your images are probably quite
high resolution, and your display software shows just part of the image
on the desktop with the whole image too big to display in toto. That's a
problem with the display software (or its settings), not the actual
filesize.

Note that reducing filesize will reduce that resolution as bits get
thrown away. You may want to keep 2 copies, one small low-resolution for
emailing etc, and the original as well for other purposes, including
viewing onscreen with a good viewer like Photo Ed or Irfan.

Except Microsoft Office 2003. Photo Editor is gone from that and it removes Photo Editor during an upgrade. The image editor now is:

Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Ouch. And thanx for the correction. I'm ossified at the Ossife 97 Pro
level and made a bad assumption.

I wonder if that old photoed.exe would run just as well with Office
2003. Suspect it would. Another assumption. To go further out on a limb,
I wonder if it would run without any version of Office at all?

"I wonder if that old photoed.exe would run just as well with Office 2003" - yes

"I wonder if it would run without any version of Office at all" - YIKES! never tried that. I doubt it but maybe.
