How do I reset the ink counter of Canon IP 1300?

I refilled the color cartridge of Canon IP 1300 printer. But the ink
counter says there's no ink available and a dialog box poped up which
let me replace the ink cartridge.

How do I reset the ink counter of my printer?

You really should have an new IP4300 with Canon ink. Anything lower is
in the trash area of the Canon line. They are really ink dispensers

The cartridges that this model uses are the PG40 (Black) and CL41(colour).
They both have a unique identifier coded into them, so that when you first
install them they are registered as 'new' full cartridges.
When you replace them after being refilled they are recognised as still
being empty and will show as such, however, apart from showing as empty on
the ink status monitor they will still work(unless electronically dead).
You need to judge when they are almost empty again by checking the print
quality. Once you have used them for about the same length of time as when
they were new, that is the time to check them for refilling.
