How do I repair an access replication link that is broken?

I created a database for my husband and replicated it onto his secretary's
computer so that she could input data and he could synch it onto his laptop.
It was fully functional until his company's tech guy came in and upgraded
both computers from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Pro over the weekend. Now
they won't synch. Can I repair the network path somehow?
 
Is it the network path, or the windows firewall getting in the way?

Can you confirm this a problem with Access replication, or general
connectivity between the two computers? Can you access data from each
computer across the network etc?
