Ever since I installed SP2, Windows Messenger keeps popping up. I never use
it but I don't see it in the Add/Remove Programs list. How do I remove or
disable it?

I don't know that you can uninstall it, since it's not in
the Installed SW list.

You CAN click on Start, Run
type

msconfig

Go to the "startup" tab.

Look for

"msmsgs"

Untick it.

Apply

reboot.

It is still in your computer, but will now only load when
you load it.

Good luck

Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components

Uncheck Windows Messenger and follow the dialog prompts.

Worked for me.
