How do I remove title page from existing files?

How do I delete the title page from files of different topics? I have
converted, saved, then opened the file again and the "remove the title page"
(or thereabouts) shows. I click that, but the page does not disappear. I
have a blank page [numbered (page) 1 prior to the beginning of my article,
which is numbered page 2. I do not want that.

Is there a page break (or a new page section break) before the first
paragraph of your text (switch to Draft (= Normal) view to check), or
is that paragraph marked to start a new page in Format > Paragraph?
