A dial-up ISP I used a few months ago put their "Name" so
it shows up in all of my IE windows at the top. How do I
remove it? Thanks for any leads on this. I can't find
where it's coming from, though I have long since
discontinued their service.

Thanks again / Don

There are a lot of third party apps that will set it for you, or you can
change it yourself in the registry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Key: Software\Microsoft\Internet\Explorer\Main
Name: Window Title
Type: REG_SZ
Value: text

Whatever you enter for text will appear in the title.

Start, run, type: regedit, hit enter.
Browse to this key:
Hkey_Current_User\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

Look for Window Title in the right pane.
Right click it and choose modify.
Type in whatever you want or blank it out, or delete it.

It is from one of two registry entries - modify both. Start - Run -
Regedit and open to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

And in the right pane double click on 'Window Title' and change to
something simple (like IE6)

Also possibly there is a value at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
where it is just Title
