Out of no where, a toolbar started appearing in Outlook 2003 while creating a
new email. It is apparantly called "Fun Tools" and contains such buttons as
Smiley Central and My Signature. I've managed to delete it from a specific
email but it always comes back when I create a new email. How can I remove
it permanently

Try Add-remove programs in Control Panel and if it's not there, go to Addin
Manager in Outlook: Tools, options, Other, Advanced Options, Addin mgr and
uncheck it there. You should also run your anti spyware software to check for
other junk you may have picked up.

Thanks for the quick reply. However, I tried both suggestions and could not
find anything that looked like that toolbar in either Control Panel nor in
Outlook add-in manager.

Hi Chuck,
There was a third suggestion. Run a scan with one of your
Spyware-removal-tools like Ad-aware or Spy-sweeper.
Rgrds,

I am having the same trouble. Have run syware, tried to remove from
"add/remove programs" but program not listed.
HELP! How do I remove?

Thank you

Dave was correct about there being a 3rd suggestion. However, I don't have
anti-spyware on my PC. I was leary of loading any of the available free
software mentioned. I figure when my anti-virus only McAfee contract
expires, I will upgrade to more comprehensive protection. I don't want to
upgrade early because my past experience w/ McAfee is they will void my
current contract, start all over, and I'll lose the money I already paid for
it.

You can certainly load Windows Defender or Ad-Aware without worry that
either will affect your McAfee contract.
