"Fun Tools" Toolbar appears when I compose in Outlook 2002

When I compose messages (new or replies) I see an unwanted toolbar of "Fun Tools." (I run SpyBot regularly and this seems to have gotten through that safety net.) I know that I'm composing messages in Word, but this toolbar doesn't appear when I open Word to create a document - it's only there when I'm using Outlook

I've tried View - Toolbars - Customize to delete the unwanted toolbar, but it keeps coming back

I tried checking for Outlook and Word updates, but when I do the "search for needed updates" I get an error message. So I tried simply downloading the latest security updates, and that didn't work either

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I have Windows XP

Thanks very much!!

Does it show up in Control Panel-> Add/Remove Programs?

Additionally check Tools-> Options-> tab Other-> button Advanced
Options...-> button Add-In Manager and/or COM Add-ins

In addition to that you might want to rename outcmd.dat and extend.dat to
*.old to reset the Toolbar and Add-in settings.
