How do I remove a trojan virus

My Norton Utilities anti-virus software located a
trojan.start.exe virus and a downloader.trojan.exe virus
on my computer. It also says it cannot fix this virus.

It must be in my startup file, but I'm not sure where
that is, as I am a novice computer user. These files
redirect my web home page from yahoo to some other web
page. when I reset my home page, it only lasts until I
restart the computer.

How do I remove theswe files?

There is no repair for virus files.
Quarantine the virus and then delete the files from quarantine.
