I deleted the switchboard in an application to enter correct version. I have
created the new version and can't see how to get Access to recognize it in
Forms from the Switchboard manager. I am using Access 2003.
Do you wish to have the new switchboard use the same functions as the
old one ...
If you still have a table named 'Switchboard Items' in your database
you can change it's name to 'Switchboard ItemsOLD'.
Then, using the Switchboard Manager, create a new switchboard with
just one command.
Save it.
Then delete the new 'Switchboard Items' table and rename the original
one back to 'Switchboard Items'. Your new switchboard will have the
functionality of the old one.
It's a complicated solution to a simple problem.
Why not create your own switchboard using an unbound form and command
buttons? If you use the command button wizard when adding the buttons,
Access will even write most of the code for you. You'll have more
control over it's appearance and functionality. Maintenance will be
much simpler.
