how do I reinstall IE6 with XPsp2?

I want to reinstall IE6. Downloaded IE6 from microsoft and edited the
registry changing a 1 to a 0 so it thinks IE6 is not installed, as instructed
KB318378, but it still keeps telling me that a newer version is already
installed.
