How do I reduce the size of an image for email purposes?

I wish to send a photo via email, however it's 2mb and I wish to reduce it to
only a very small file. How do I achieve this?

Not really an Outlook question, but open the image in an image editing
program and resize it. Send the resized image. A really good free program
for viewing pictures that can do that, and lots more, is Irfanview. It is
free too. www.irfanview.com
 
You are going to need to scale it down or reduce the resolution with some
image editing software... (Photoshop, Paintshop etc.) ... If you do not have
one try GIMP (www.gimp.org).
