How do I recover my desktop shortcut to excel?

For some reason I lost the ability to start Excel from my desktop. All of
the files are still there, I just can not access them. I can start up word,
access, and powerpoint from the desktop. When I checked for the shortcut for
the other applications, they did not show any. I would like to be able to
run excel from my desktop.

hi,
it was probably a glitch somewhere. this has happen to me
before. right click the excel icon the click properties.
make sure the file path to EXCEL.EXE is correct. if not,
make it correct. or like i do when this happens, delete
the old shortcut and creat a new one.
hope this helps

Use windows start button|search (or Find) to look for excel.exe.

When you find it, rightclick on it and choose send to desktop (as shortcut).
