Hi,
I would like to know if i can uninstall windows XP from my laptop without
having the instalation disk but having all the passwords for the laptop. Then
i would like to wipe my hardrive clean and then install windows again.

Is that possible?

If so, I would be very greatful for any help.

To install Windows you need either a (legally acquired) Windows CD or a
recovery partition on the hard disk. Recovery partitions usually erase the
rest of the hard disk and reinstall all the software that was on the
computer when it left the factory.

That's not strictly true. The op needs to have a legal license which for all
intents and purposes is the serial number. He can get the Windows CD from
any where as long as its the same type originally installed. Home, generic
home OEM, pro, pro OEM or branded OEM. As long as he borrows (or downloads
it really doesn't matter) the same type he can use his own serial.

If the OP doesn't have the serial he can get magic jellybean and get the
serial from his installation.

Are you sure your laptop wasnt supplied with a hidden recovery partition?
PC suppliers are obliged by their licence with MS to supply a means of
recovery.
Check your laptop manu site for recovery info.
But perhaps you are saying you lost your cd's?

Well, yes, you copuld use any bootable disk that contained the
necessary programs to format the hard drive.

You won't be able to reinstall Windows without the installation CD.
