How do I put a video player on my Front page site

G

Guest

I want to play a few demo reels of things I have shot, but I am having issues
trying to find and embed players for mpg, avi, and quicktime video movies on
to my site can anyone help? Or if there is another way to do this other than
a Hyperlink it would really help.
Thank you

Sure, this isn't all that big of a problem.
Let me ask you a couple of questions:
1. do you need the movies in all these different formats or can you keep it
to just one format?
2. can you save (with whatever editor you use) the movie as an .swf (flash
file)?

also you might want to look at this:
http://coffeecup.com/video-player
This app is cheap, and does an excellent job of compressing and converting
video files and creating nice flash based players.

Wow. that looks promising. it's only a couple of bucks more than
CoffeeCup's product.
Have you actually used it yet?

Well thanks for the tip!
Its amazing how one can spend so much time on the web, looking for stuff,
and still not find something without a personal recommendation. there must
be a lot of sites out there. :)
