How do I protect data?

I have a public folder that contains data entered through an Outlook Custom
Form. I set it up so the forms script controls who may open or modify the
entries. I have set permissions that prevent the data from being deleted but
I’ve noticed that the data can be changed in the views.
One case is if someone creates their own view and allows in-cell editing.
Another is in some views that I have created, just dragging and dropping an
item can change data, (views with grouping or calendar views).
What can I do to prevent any changes in the views but still allow changes
when they open the custom form?

You use a product, like Oracle and Sybase, that enable field-level security.
Outlook is designed to facilitate user's easy access to data. There is no
field level security. The only real security is that provided by the NTSF
file system. Once a user has access to the pst or the exchange mailbox,
they can get to any field. The only thing you can do is make it more
difficult.
