When using microsoft office Xp, For instance headers and footers can be used
to add names or dates in excel and word. how can i do the same in access.

The same way. Open up your report in design view. Click the View menu,
then select "Page Header/Footer". In the page header or page footer, put
what you'd like to have printed.

You can't modify the header/footer when you print a table.

Tables might be printed for troubleshooting, however they really weren't
meant for printing in a production setting. That is what reports are for.

Create a report based on your table, and you have all the flexibility you
need to print what you like in the header/footer.
