How do I print a word doc without the header and footer?

I'm trying to develop templates for our company and I'd like the ability for
them to print onto our pre-printed letterhead, which means, I need a way for
the templates to print WITHOUT printing the content within the header/footer.
Any suggestions?

You could provide templates without headers and footers, or (if they
need to see what the final result will look like) you could instruct
them to format the header/footer content as colored White before
printing. (I suspect Hidden might make the vertical alignment go
away?)
