How do I prevent the outline formating from showing in TOC

I am creating a document that is mainly using the outline feature. I would
like to do a Table of Contents, which is working ok... Except it is
displaying the the outline numbers. As I am picking and choosing which
outline items to include, it looks strange. this is an example

A. Heading 1............................1
iii. Sub sub heading 1..............1
iv. Sub sub heading 2..............2
B. Heading 2...........................2
3. Sub heading........................3
v. Sub sub heading................4

As far as I know, it is not possible to do this.
