How do I prevent copying my powerpoint presentations?

I spend hours and days putting together Powerpoint Presentations in my
profession. Someone asks me to email them a copy and then the next thing I
see is changes and then they use it to present their program after I've done
the work. How can I make these but prevent anyone else from changing the
content? I know about read-only; but all you have to do is go in and un-click
that. How do I protect what I spent hours making?

Have a look here:

The suggestions aren't all about passwords, by the way.
