How do I prevent conflicting appointments in Outlook 2003 ?

One of my users has a problem with putting more than one appointment in their
diary in the same time slot. (Don't ask how\why !)
Obviously she can't be in two places at once so I want to prevent the time
slot being used for more than one appointment at a time.

Anyone know how ?

I'm sure there used to be a "accept conflicting appointments" option but it
has vanished.

Help !

1. Tools menu
2. Then Options
3. Then Preferences tab
4. Then Calendar Options.
5. Under Advanced options area, click the Resource Scheduling button
6. Make sure there is a checkmark beside "Automatically accept meeting
requests and process cancellations"
7. Then make sure there is a checkmark in the box beside "Automatically
decline conflicting meeting requests"

Hi Brianna

Thank you for noticing my post and taking the time to reply. I really
appreciate your input.
Sadly my problem can't be fixed via this route. My user doesn't want to have
her appointments automatically accepted and wants to accept or decline them
herself.
Outlook does give you a very small, written warning that this appointment
conflicts with an existing one but she doesn't see it (?!?!) and accepts the
meeting anyway.
It then becomes the computers fault (which becomes my fault) for letting her
double-book herself.
What I need is for the Outlook client to prevent a time slot being booked
more than once either by automatic or manual methods.
In all fairness, I seem to remember a much earlier version of Outlook could
be set to stop you making these sort of mistakes. It produced a huge, pop-up
window, with an "Are you really sure" kind of message. I think this is what
she relied on and needs back.
Any more ideas ?
