How do I prevent apps from starting during startup? I
remember thier was a key combination that I could you
which would prevent apps from starting (other than F8)
during windows startup.
Holding the left shift key down will stop anything in your Startup
folder and the All Users Startup folder from running. It will not
stop anything in HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current
Version/Run from executing, nor in the same key under HKLM.
