How do I permanently disable Auto Preview?

I keep haveing new email messages pop up with the Auto Preview and I keep
having to turn it of manually. Is there a way to set Outlook Mail to never
show an Auto Preview? I am not refering to the Preview Pane, just the first
three lines of the email that show up in blue text.

And clicking View and unchecking AutoPreview doesn't work?

As I said, I can do that manually for each new message, but it just happens
again later.

IMAP account? Try disabling it for the view or create a new view and use it
on the folder. I've never had a lot of luck on IMAP accounts though - the
default settings keep coming back.
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/grouping.htm has the basics for disabling
features in a default view.

Are you using an IMAP account? Those views are difficult to customize and
have it stick - but try the instructions at
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/grouping.htm. It may work best if you make
a new custom view and apply it to the affected folders.
