How do I paste values from Access to Excel?

I just upgraded to 2007. It appears you can no longer copy Access select
query data in a format which allows for the paste values function to execute
in Excel. Is there a flag somewhere which controls the data capture method
in Access so it does not capture this data as text only?

Thanks.

I have an Access 2007 application in which I "export" a query to Excel. It
seems to be working.

Are you trying to copy/paste only a portion?

The "export" function will probably work, but that's adding a step to a
process which works fine on 2003. I am copying the entire query. The
problem is that it must be pasted into a preformatted Excel spreadsheet. I
just tried "paste special" using the 'Text' option. This appears to suit my
needs for this particular situation, but I forsee potential problems with
other workbooks as well. There is no way to configure Access to capture this
data in a value format as opposed to a text format? This is a significant
change which impacts some of my macros as well.

Thanks.

Perhaps one of the other newsgroup readers has some direct experience with
this ... I don't.

Good luck!

I have the same issue as well. I almost always paste values from Access
tables to Excel to preserve formatted reports and such. I just switched to
A2007 and find this a problem. Anyone with an answer or help, appreciated.
