How do I paste pictures into powerpoint?

I have cut and pasted photos from my memory stick into powerpoint slides
however now when I run the slideshow the photos are magnified and I only see
a portion of the photo up close rather than the whole photo. How do I
correct this and resize the photo to fit the screen ?

Open the PowerPoint Presentation Select your photo, the select Format,
Picture, size, and set it to whatever size you desire

The basic problem is that the pics on your memory stick are at far too high a
resolution for an on screen show.
If you resize them either as Michael says or manually drag the down you will
find your file save will be enormous.
Either resize the first in an image editor or once resized in powerpoint
run "compress pictures" in the picture toolbar (choose "web / screen setting"
unless youve a special reason to have a very high resolution )
