how do i password protect my email account

i have no other accounts on my pc nor do i want them, i would just like to be
able to have a password for my email account on my pc....i use windows mail
only and have no use for my isp's web mail. i have vista home premium, and
am not able to figure out how i can do this yet....
ty for any help

Sorry, like most other Windows programs, Windows Mail is not
password-protected. If you need the extra security, use a Windows
log-in, and log out when you're done.

By password protecting your Windows User.
However, the messages are still stored in plain text, readable by anyone who
knows what they're doing.
